Engineering Administrator
My client is a global leader within the pioneering and manufacturing of high-performance solutions. Due to expansion, they are currently seeking an Engineering Administrator to join their team based in Belfast.
This is a Full-Time, 9 Month – Fixed Term Contract
Working hours: Working hours: (37.5 hours per week) Flexible start and finish times - Monday to Friday can start up until 9.30am, finish from 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, Friday finish at 1pm (if 37.5 hours complete)
With a salary of £24,001 per annum
Job Role:
You will be responsible for updating and transferring standard operating procedures onto the companies new database, as well as providing full administrative duties throughout.
Essential Criteria:
- 2 years relevant experience within a similar role.
- 5 GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent qualification.
- Experience of writing guidance documentation, standard procedures or similar.
- IT proficient with the experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal – with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload with a high level of accuracy, while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work outside of core hours when required.
Desirable Criteria:
- 3rd level Qualification.
- Administration experience of understanding and developing documentation for a production /engineering / technical environment.
- Experience providing progress updates to internal team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct administrative support for the Manufacturing Engineering team.
- Become familiar with the company digital documentation system, how to develop guides within this, and how to update the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) record.
- Transfer/re-write old SOP (that have been pre-reviewed and updated by Engineering) into the new digital documentation system, utilising clear wording, imagery, and videos where appropriate to create new guides.
- Provide updates on progress to date.
- Inform production when SOP are completed and available for use.
- Update SOP records.
