Job description

Job title: Level 3 Electrical Engineering Apprentice
Salary: £10.18 per hour plus Veolia benefits
Location:Seafield, Edinburgh
Programme Duration: 4 years
*Candidate shortlisting will take place w/c 29th April 2024 and assessment days will take place between w/c 6th - 13th May 2024.

Apprenticeship programme
During this programme, we'll help you to develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.
As well as this, you'll also gain qualifications in Level 6 SVQ Diploma, Competency & Knowledge Skills Certificate, as well as H&S (IOSH) Awareness Training. You will complete the Electrical Engineering Programme in installation and fault finding on Electrical systems in a commercial environment.
With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices, you'll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.
What you'll be doing;
- Main duties are to: Learn how to safely install, maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems in an industrial environment.
- The individual will learn what safety measures are to be applied in the workforce.
- Techniques, practices and behaviours required with the ultimate aim to become a professional time served electrical engineer.
- Health and safety requirements will need to be fulfilled within this role.
- By the end of your apprenticeship, you'll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4 (C or equivalent) or above/predicted to include Maths, English & Science.
- An open mind and a willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence (Desirable)
- Good problem-solving skills
