SalaryThis is an excellent role for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer familiar with concept design through to final product manufacturing, ideally from a switchgear background and willing to lead a team, undertaking an end-to-end approach.
As Engineering Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking a lead role in design and managing the team
- Being active in discovering and investigating new manufacturing processes and techniques
- Interpreting client requirements into functional cost-effective designs
- Liaising from design through to inhouse fabrication as well as externally with clients and suppliers
- HNC/HND with relevant experience or BSc/BEng Electrical / Mechanical Graduate
- Experience using SolidWorks to produce unambiguous manufacturing and assembly drawings
- Experience of IEC62271 and ENA TS41-36 standards
- Familiarity of type testing switchgear including dielectric, short circuit, pd and mechanical
endurance
You will be working 37.5 hours per week.
