About the Role:

Our Engineering Apprenticeship will give you the skills, knowledge and behaviours to become an Engineer maintaining some of the newest and fastest production lines. During our apprenticeship you will gain a mix of college based learning and real 'hands on' on the job experience, earning an attractive salary from day one. You will work towards achieving the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard and on to a rewarding Engineering career, with the potential for further study at level 4 or above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alternating between attending college and working onsite, you will be completing all learning requirements to develop both hands-on skills and basic engineering underpinning knowledge
  • Safely complete a variety of engineering practical tasks and jobs to support your college learning
  • Work with and support Technicians to complete intrusive, planned & preventative maintenance schedules
  • Support Technicians with breakdown maintenance across all production lines
  • Timely completion of information within the computer-based maintenance programme (52 week plans)
  • Drive personal development on the programme
  • Learn about the business, soft drinks, and manufacturing; learning from others’ experience and knowledge with a clear vision about where we’re going and who we want to be.
  • Working for Britvic means you are joining a team of diverse, forward-thinking people who are constantly striving to deliver beyond expectations. We like to stretch ourselves and bring fresh perspectives that will challenge the conventional way of doing things.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • A lateral thinker – technically minded with an interest in how things work
  • An aptitude towards hands on work and a strong interest in engineering
  • The ability to work within a team while supporting and learning from those around you
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • Strong communication skills
  • Vision, inclusive and the drive to keep on learning
  • Practical, self-motivated and conscientious in meeting demanding targets and deadlines while following best practice standards

Qualifications:

  • You must have 5 GCSEs, including grades 4-9/A-C, or equivalent in maths and English and science
