Job Description
Organon is hiring a Engineering Maintenance Lead to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington. As a member of the Bulk Integrated Product Team (IPT) the Maintenance Lead will provide strong leadership to the Bulk IPT maintenance team as well as being an active member of the overall IPT team. The leader will engage with the wider Engineering teams to drive Maintenance and Engineering Strategies and improvements aligned to the IPT’s and sites strategic priorities.
The Maintenance Lead will also engage with vendors keeping abreast of technical developments and ensuring a productive relationship exists between the vendors and OGN. The Lead will also ensure on-going adherence to all relevant Regulatory and Industry guidelines.
Role Responsibilities:
Attending and successfully completing applicable GMP training, including training in local operating procedures.
Bringing to the attention of management any violation in cGMPs and/or other concerns which may effect the safety, efficacy, or purity of product.
Accountable for the IPT Maintenance budget delivering effective maintenance and production equipment improvements.
Supports the Bulk IPT as an active member of the IPT management team.
Supports and develops departmental systems and processes.
Manages minor capital installations and supports major capital projects impacting bulk equipment and facilities.
Engages as part of the wider Engineering teams to drive both IPT and site wide priorities aligned to the sites strategic direction.
Actively drives improvement projects to minimize downtime, enhance equipment robustness and reduce waste.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Degree level Engineering qualification or similar relevant experience.
Competent financial management skills to create and manage budgets, both expense and projects.
Highly developed Project Management and Leadership skills.
Wide experience of maintenance and facilities engineering in a pharmaceutical environment.
