Engineering Manager

Job purpose

As part of this role you will lead the engineering team, effectively managing the busy workload of the team and coordinating with external contractors

Responsibilities

Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they 
are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. 
 Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against these plans. 
Plant and Machinery Installation 
 Oversee the installation of plant and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and 
quality standards 
 Coordinate with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and resolve installation 
issues 
 Develop and implement preventative maintenance

Essiential Skills

Proven experience in project management, particularly in plant and machinery installation 
 Demonstrated success in contractor management and team leadership 
 Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards 
 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
 Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, 
contractors, and other stakeholders 
 A good communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
 Has a collaborative approach and is able to nurture a positive team environment. 
 A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline would be advantageous.
