AddressEngineering Manager
We are recruiting for a leading technology business who are looking for a Head of Engineering / Engineering Manager to join on a full time basis.
The business prides itself on the strength of their technology and their adoption of software as a service (SaaS) and bringing true digital transformation to the business.
The Engineering Manager is a strategic leadership role within the firm. The role reports directly to the CTO and the Engineering Manager will be responsible for setting the strategic outcomes for IT and the Product teams.
There will be close collaboration with Product Managers, Tech Leads and Designers to define and create Products and software solutions that the business need want to use. This will be done in an Agile way with a focus on servant leadership.
The key role of the Engineering Manager is to ensure any technical or operational roadblocks are removed and to ensure that the Engineering team is fully empowered to deliver on the priorities the team have agreed to as part of an over-arching IT and Product strategy across the business.
Skills and Experience
- Experience working in Product-led Engineering teams
- Experience managing Engineering teams and a software delivery
- Understand Agile software delivery and servant leadership
- Experience of cloud-based web environments, (no hands-on coding required)
- Management experience and the ability to mentor and coach as well as to perform 1-2-1’s
- Cost tracking and management skills
- Microsoft .NET and SQL knowledge and general understanding of frontend frameworks and how they operate in a web environment
- Understanding of how APIs are used within web development and how they can be exposed externally
- Understanding of Cloud implementations and architecture (MS Azure)
- This is a key role within technology reporting directly to the CTO, the role is strategic, and will contribute and influence the overall IT product roadmap as well as being a key part of the senior IT leadership team and team manager.
