Cranleigh STEM is working with a renowned Chemical Manufacturing business based in Liverpool, known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability in the industry.
They are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager with a background in chemical or similar industries, expertise in SHEQ and process safety, and strong leadership capabilities to join their team.
As the Engineering Manager, you will deliver CAPEX improvement projects for the financial year, ensuring stakeholder engagement throughout the process. You will lead the engineering and maintenance teams in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of their Liverpool-based Chemical Manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, maintenance activities, and compliance with safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the engineering and maintenance teams, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with SHEQ professionals to ensure that safety, health, environmental, and quality standards are met or exceeded.
- Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor and analyse equipment performance data, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in engineering and maintenance leadership roles within the Chemical Manufacturing or similar industry.
- Experience in delivering capital expenditure improvement projects.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, process safety and SHEQ standards.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and complete projects on time and within budget.
The business offers a competitive salary: £60,000 - £70,000 and a generous benefits package. Including 25 days basic holiday (with the opportunity to buy and sell) and a discretionary bonus.
