Engineering Operations Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting the role of Engineering Operations Manager for our client in Leeds, to work for our client, a renowned leader in the rail industry.

This Engineering Operations Manager will play a pivotal and crucial role, ensuring optimal performance and maintenance of the rail assets. Key responsibilities will include:

• Engineering leadership: providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organisational goals.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and excellence in engineering practices.
• Maintenance planning and execution, developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance plans for all assets within the depot.
• Coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring minimal impact on operational efficiency.
• You will stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements and regulatory changes related to rail engineering.
• Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials to meet maintenance and engineering demands.
• Monitor and control budgetary allocations for engineering projects and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with cross functional team, including operations, safety, and logistics to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities.
• Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to procure necessary resources and services.

Elevation Recruitment Group are keen to speak with Engineering Operations Manager's, skilled in the above areas and that meet the following criteria.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in management and 10 years + within rail engineering or maintenance.
• Demonstrable skills leading multi site operations with a minimum of 350+
• In depth knowledge of rail engineering principles, maintenance practices and industry standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Familiarity with relevant software and tools used in rail engineering and maintenance.
