Recruitment Consultant - Engineering & Technical

Role: Recruitment Consultant for the Engineering & Technical Division (open to level)

Location: Soham, Cambridgeshire

Hours: Monday to Friday 36.5 hours per week (no set start / finish times)

Salary: £25,000 - £32,500 per annum plus a generous commission scheme and quarterly bonuses bringing the OTE up to £70k

Due to continued growth and an internal promotion, we are currently looking for a hungry and dedicated Recruitment Consultant to join our existing Engineering & Technical division taking over a hot desk! As we continue to expand, we are on our quest to find the very best 360 recruiters to join our ambitious team.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the full 360 degree running of a recruitment desk specialising in Commercial and Office vacancies, with option to cover other roles as you grow the desk, taking over a warm desk that has been grown to hand over to this role you will benefit from supporting clients initially with Sales and Marketing vacancies. Securing the best talent for our clients vacancies whilst also bringing new business to the company you will work towards financial targets and KPIs. You will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the desk and division, someone who is motivated by money identifying new clients and sourcing suitable candidates for their vacancies either on a permanent or temporary basis.

• Identify and secure job opportunities with both new and existing clients
• Place suitable candidates to meet client requirements
• Develop and manage client and candidate relationships
• Identify, progress and convert sales leads as required
• Manage and proactively develop client relationships
• Establish and agree terms of business with new clients
• Identify and attract candidates using all appropriate methods to satisfy job requirements
• Monitor responses/applications received
• Make sure that candidate’s applications are processed efficiently
• Shortlist and present suitably qualified applicants against job vacancies
• Manage the recruitment and selection processes
• Ensure all necessary administration is completed for clients and candidates
• Develop expertise of market rates and conditions within your sector in order to consult with candidates and clients
• Seek and provide feedback in a professional manner at all times to candidates and clients
• Conducting regular service reviews with both clients and candidates to ensure continuous improvement
• Accurate recording of candidate and client information on the recruitment database
• Comply with all relevant employment legislation and appropriate codes of practice
• Comply with all relevant sector specific legislation
• Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, employee rights and responsibilities

Skills and Experience Required:

• Previous experience of working in a recruitment agency as a consultant - we are open to level whether its junior or senior.
• A self-motivated approach to work
• The ability to identify opportunities and secure new business
• A tenacious and resilient attitude
• An ambitious, driven and determined mindset to achieve targets and objectives
• Strong time management and organisation skills
