1129: Engineering Support
Location: BSRIA Bracknell (walking distance from Bracknell station), within close proximity to M3, within walking distance of Bracknell town centre)

This role’s working patern is 37 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 08.30am – 17.00pm and on Friday 08.30am – 16.30pm (with one- hour unpaid lunch)

The role: Offering a unique combination of one of the UK's leading UKAS accredited test facilities with specialist global leading test engineers and industry leading consultants BSRIA is
ideally placed to offer a solution that provides the independent and authoritative technical input and support that will allow you to achieve your objectives working with one partner.
Reporting to the Product Performance Lead, your role is to carry out testing and commissioning for a range of clients in the built environment. This includes assisting with building of test rigs,
using test instrumentation and assisting with the production of reports for clients. In this position you will be working in a friendly environment as part of the Test House.
Exciting work you will be doing:
- Responsible for housekeeping activities in the laboratory including preparation of
- Assist with the construction, maintenance and operation of test rigs
- Assist with testing of heating, ventilation air-conditioning and refrigeration
- Assist with carrying out standard laboratory, bespoke site based investigations
- Assist with reviewing test data and preparing reports
- To ensure that the work of the section is properly documented and filed,
- To ensure the tasks undertaken within the Section are performed efficiently and
- Compliance with all Health and Safety requirements
- To seek and promote opportunities for new work
- Any other duties that commensurate with the role
- Ability to fulfil routine tasks and seek help when and where necessary
- Ability to approach tasks positively with confidence and enthusiasm
- Good Time-Management skills i.e. ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks
- Co-operative atitude to work colleagues
- Pragmatic with a flexible approach
- Must be articulate and be able to express yourself clearly
- PC literate and numerate
- Report writing skills
- Current driving licence
- Academic and professional qualifications including working in accordance with
ISO 17025 and ISO 9001Quality Management systems advantageous.
