As part of the Hardware-Platform team and part of virtual Customer Support level2 team made of engineers across R&D fields, you will be working with two other colleagues on RF HW Support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Team work sharing workload with colleagues as well as liaising with Techleads & other teams
To be a R&D point of contact for Field Application Engineers and customer Project Managers
Responsible for customer OTA testing, driving UK R&S DST200 kit when needed
Responsible for Customer HW design reviews, analyse/reproduce/investigate RF/BB issues, be responsive to fix issues as they arise
To effectively communicate progress and status through emails, reports and presentations
To be actively involved with customer documentation updates and Tech Writer
To grow capabilities and quality of HWSL2 Customer Support
To play part adjusting development strategy and deliverables
To raise awareness, priority call and propose changes
Identifying resource and recruiting needs
PROFILE
LTE experience (design, systems, test) and familiar with 3GPP standards
Keen to take responsibilities, assess workload, scheduling & being responsible for others
Self-starter. Able to work autonomously.
Self-motivated, team player, able to pro-actively communicate with all employees
Strong sense of ownership and responsibility
Work well in a fast paced environment within a multicultural team and at all levels

REQUIREMENTS
Engineering degree/MSc in Computing, Maths or Engineering
10 years’ work experience in RF Design, Testing or System Design (working in telecoms environment a plus)
Work experience as a Customer Support or as a Techlead a plus
Work experience as RF HW Engineer, able to troubleshoot and solve RF issues
Demonstrate analytical expertise by providing the needed conclusions
Understanding of LTE/IoT/5G RF testing
Knowledge of standards, conducted vs radiated
HW Design, PCB CAD viewer, schematics/layout/mechanical expertise, Thermal and ESD
Ability to multi-task, ability to see trends, prioritising, liaising, documenting
Experience building case for virtual resource support, tracking progress/schedule. Planning and adjusting to changes
RF Production constraint awareness: statistical spread, RMA a plus
Some travel may be required between company and customer sites
PREFFERED DETAILED KNOWLEDGE AT RF LEVEL
HW Design expertise skill, routing design guidelines, modules, host, shielding, grounding
Customer product trends, environment conditions and certification needs
LTE 3GPP standard awareness
FCC, GSMA, CTIA Standards
Analytical skills
Familiarity with controlling lab equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analysers, vector signal analysers, multi meters, oven, power supplies is needed
