We have an exciting opportunity to join Core Production site as an Engineering Technical Support.
This role is situated on the Core Production site on Raynesway, Derby. You will support the Technical Support Manager-Upper Tier across the Core Production facilities, including the resolution of operational issues and improvements as presented. You will be also supporting extant facilities and their Safety Cases, and the implementation of new facilities for acceptance into Operations. It covers a broad spectrum of disciplines, including Operations, Engineering and all four pillars of Safety.

What you will be doing:
- You will Implement engineering safety improvements into the manufacturing facilities to support production demands, demonstrating good working knowledge of the engineering project lifecycle.
- Understand the facility and safety failure mechanisms, their associated consequences and the hazards they contribute to.
- Provide mentoring, expert guidance and authoritative leadership to engineers in the same technical discipline or to related multi-disciplinary teams.
- Identify (both inside and outside the company) new approaches and techniques that enhance the efficiency and business impact of the discipline and capitalise on these opportunities to advance the state-of-the-art. Maintain breadth of knowledge to understand interactions with related areas.
- Derive lessons learnt, identify and develop improvements in tools, methods and processes Coordinate with customers, suppliers and regulatory authorities on Safety & Reliability matters on behalf of the specific specialist discipline.

- Bachelor's degree, (or regional equivalent qualification) in Engineering or numerate discipline.
- Good understanding of the construction and operation of the assigned product.
- Proven ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking on a range of technical problems.
- Proven ability to handle ambiguity.
- Knowledge and experience of company policies / processes and product integrity /liability and certification frameworks. Where applicable, membership of a relevant professional body appropriate to region

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines, you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
