Job Description
Were looking for an Enterprise Architectto join our IT team in Milton Keynes. The role plays a key part in drivingfuture technology architecture in the business along with the Infrastructure and Development teams. Driving close collaboration across all architects to deliver architecture Center of Excellence (CofE) optimising company networks, services and business applications to support the growing business needs whilst mitigating risks and providing relevant artefacts to improve decision making.
This is a hybrid role, with 1 day a week in the office.Key responsibilities of the Enterprise Architect:
- Build and maintain an enterprise and technical architecture framework, and corresponding guidance and standards to ensure solution architecture is fit for purpose.
- Facilitate alignment between business and IT teams maintaining relationships and telling the future state story.
- Support business IT strategy roadmaps and strategic initiatives development through vistualisation and analysis techniques.
- Lead the technical design authority working with the architects across all the domains toensure that all architectural solutions are clearly documented, approved and meet the business needs.
- Support the architects, engineering teams, infrastructure teams and delivery teams to deliver quality solutions consistently to meet business needs through minimum viable architectures.
- Own the future technology blueprint for Connells Group.
- Lead the overall technology consolidation across the group working closely with the development and infrastructure directors and architects.
- Develop and document the high-level knowledge and expertise of how our systems fit together and a broader context of the external world of technology in general.
- Engage with key internal stakeholders and suppliers, and drive innovation in technology.
- Complete technical due diligence for all new acquisitions for the group.Lead the solution architects to clearly articulate the future state for business areas or strategic initiatives through a consultative approach.
- Experience of Enterprise Architecture or systems architecture development, including the following disciplines: business analysis, applications/systems engineering, data architectures and technical architectures.
- Track record of operating at senior levels of an organisation and translating technology into simple business language.
- Practical experience of one or more architecture frameworks and any associated architecture development methods, including TOGAF certified or equivalent.
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
- Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting and risk management.
- Understanding of various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric and also different types of agile principles, methodologies and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.
