Our client, an FTSE 100 corporation that helps connect millions of people globally is recruiting an Enterprise Data Architect who has strong capabilities architecting solutions within AWS with focus on Lake House Architecture/Databricks/Google BIG Query contributing to their data and AI strategy. The chosen candidate must have recent industry experience working within retail, travel, or E-commerce sectors engaging with the Senior Stakeholders, Data Analytics & Science teams. Our client is looking to pay a basic salary of GBP100,000 to GBP115,000 (circa) plus a 30% bonus with other excellent benefits with the expectancy to be on-site three days per week in Luton (can be consecutive days).
Core responsibilities:

• Working closely with colleagues across to build and maintain valuable and productive working relationships and ensure that the needs of the business are met.
• Particularly close collaboration with the Enterprise Integration, Data Engineering, Data Management and Data Analytics and science functions will be essential.
• Work with other enterprise architecture and delivery stakeholders viz. data engineering and data science teams to deliver data technical solutions/architecture for data lakes in the cloud eg, Databricks on AWS, and Google Big Query.
• Design applicable Data Architecture standards including establishing processes for trusted data sources and integrating them into technology and data landscape.
• Responsible for maintaining and governing logical and physical data models for Data and Analytical solutions by working closely with Data Engineering Technical leads and Data modellers.
• Support the work in building data dictionaries, and data governance frameworks, by working closely with the Data Governance Team.

Core skill set:

• Expertise in delivering Enterprise Data Architecture across Data Management, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, and Data Integration (must have).
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud technologies and concepts like Lake House Architecture and Databricks, Google BIG Query (must have)
• Extensive experience working with Datamodelling tools like Erwin Data Modeler, and ER Studio.
• Familiarity with patterns, practices, and frameworks of Enterprise Architecture within retail, travel, or E-commerce sectors (must have).
• Extensive Enterprise Data modelling experience from conceptual to logical models (must have)
• Taking long-term ownership of the data models and analytical products built on top of them (must have).
• Extensive experience working with Datamodelling tools like Erwin Data Modeller, and ER Studio (must have).
