The BWDBC Environmental Crime Team wish to appoint a highly motivated individual to help keep the streets of Blackburn with Darwen clean and safe and stop incidents of Environmental Crime spoiling our neighbourhood.
The Council's Environmental Crime team works with key stakeholders to tackle Environmental Crime through engagement, education and enforcement, carrying out PACE interviews under caution, seizing vehicles, obtaining witness statements, submitting prosecution files, court appearances, using CCTV systems, issuing stat nuisance notices are just some of the responsibilities you will have to deal with as an Enviro Crime officer.
The ability to communicate, often in demanding circumstances in a calm assertive manner and to be resilient as some interactions can become confrontational is essential.
