Join the thriving manufacturing company as a Health and Safety Manager. Client is at the forefront of delivering high-quality, products to their customers, and the safety of the team members is paramount to their success. You will be reporting into SHEQ manager and Factory Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health and Safety policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements and company policy
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into various processes and projects
- Organise and deliver training programs to educate employees on safe working practices and emergency procedures
- Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
- Strive to maintain zero accident culture
- Stay up-to-date with relevant Health and Safety regulations and industry trends to continuously improve our safety practices
Requirements
- Proven experience in Health and Safety management within FMCG and manufacturing industry
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards (eg, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, ISO 14001 and 45001, RIDDOR reports) and workplace safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with employees at all levels
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to safety-related challenges
- Ability to occasionally travel to other company sites
- Certification in Health and Safety (eg, NEBOSH) is highly desirable
