My client, a leading London hospital trust, seek an experienced Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager to start an ongoing temp booking asap.
The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager will be the operational lead and subject matter
expert for staff EDI improvements across the Trust. The post holder will support the senior
leadership of the Trust with expert advice on best practice in relation to identifying and evaluating
opportunities and implementing solutions to improve organisational culture and staff experience.
The post holder will lead the development and operational implementation of the Trust’s EDI
strategic priorities. This includes stakeholder engagement, definition, and delivery of the
implementation plan, developing a suite of metrics to monitor progress, and evaluation of the
interventions.
The post holder will lead on reporting and improving the Trust’s position on the Gender Pay Gap,
the Ethnicity Pay Gap, the Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) and Workforce Disability
Equality Standard (WDES).
As the subject matter expert, the post holder is expected to be a role model for the Trust values and
leadership behaviours, delivering to the highest standards and promoting a positive inclusive culture
throughout the Trust
The successful candidate:
- Educated to master’s degree level in a relevant subject or the equivalent level of experience, developed through similar specialist roles.
- Evidence of continuous professional development, with an emphasis on EDI and leadership
- Professional CIPD membership
Previous experience:
- Demonstrable experience of providing specialist advice, support, and guidance on a range of highly complex and sensitive issues to key decision makers within the organisation
- Significant experience of devising, implementing, and evaluating Equality, Diversity and Inclusion interventions that enhance employee experience
- Significant experience of successfully leading complex projects, ensuring benefits realisation
- Experience of facilitating group discussions and enabling employee voice Experience of leading and managing teams and delivering through others Experience of delivering Organisational Development interventions to enable culture change
Skills/ Knowledge/ Ability:
- Expert understanding of Diversity and Inclusion with the ability to provide expert advice up to Board level
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills to be able to influence and negotiate on complex and sensitive issues with senior stakeholders
- Ability to think strategically and translate this into practical delivery
- Expert, up to date knowledge of key factors in EDI within and outside the NHS Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet competing demands, managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to undertake analysis of complex and multifaceted data sets to draw out insights and recommendations
- Able to work in creative partnerships within and outside the Trust
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
