We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an EDI / Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Leadwho has previous experience working in an EDI role, providing expert advice and support.
Working as the EDI / Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead you will have the ability to operate at both a strategic and operational level, to lead further development and delivery of the Connect service.

As the EDI / Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead you will lead the Connect training and development, consultancy and advice service, ensuring it is financially sustainable and effectively positioned in the market, in line with the organisational vision, goals and values. You will design, plan, deliver, commission and manage the Connect service offering which will include relevant training programmes, workshops, bespoke consultancy support as well as resources supporting provision of high-quality advice and guidance.
This is initially a standalone position with the potential to build a small team.
DUTIES
Your duties as the EDI / Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead include:
- Work with the Executive Leadership Team, lead further development and delivery of Connect service offering
- Establish the foundations of an effective external training and consultancy function
- Provide specialist knowledge, expertise, support and good practice measures allowing the Trust to further shape their organisational approach to neuro-inclusion, externally and internally
- Lead the development of a range of resources, learning and development interventions and packages to support managers and staff
- Design and deliver training and consultancy support, advice and guidance, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation
- Establish and maintain relationships with associate trainers and consultants who will deliver support under the Connect umbrella
- Drive a digital learning culture, ensuring the provision of high-quality digital resources including curated, created and developed online content and guidance
- Champion neuro-inclusion and the Connect offering externally and across the organisation to drive forward the EDI agenda
- Plan and coordinate relevant events, projects and campaigns, bringing together different stakeholders to plan and deliver activities aligned with strategic priorities
- Lead, develop, coach and manage staff and volunteers, driving a culture of excellence and high engagement
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience of working in an EDI role, providing expert advice and support
- Demonstrable experience designing, delivering, implementing and evaluating training, including development of new materials and supporting resources
- Strong understanding of EDI legislation
- Proven ability and passion for championing inclusion
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills
- Highly self-motivated and demonstrate a positive "can do" attitude
