Salary: £27-30k (pro rata for PT)
Hybrid: After full training - 2 days at home 3 in office

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8.00am-4.30pm & Friday 8.00am-3.00pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person to join a small but busy People Team on a fixed term basis for 12 months. Supporting the People Manager, you will advise managers on a wide range of employment law matters, people related processes and procedures. Coupled with this, the ideal candidate will have a passion for employee engagement and/or Learning and Development and have a fresh approach to the overall people journey to add value to the Global People Strategy for a temporary period.
Responsibilities of People Advisor include:
- Investigations, grievances and disciplinaries and appeals whilst ensuring we remain compliant with Employment law legislation.
- Support on case management; including, Absence Management, Occupational Health referrals.
- Escalating areas of concern to the People Manager as appropriate.
- Contributing to People metric reporting pack and identify trends and need of action.
- Supporting our recruitment processes.
- Assisting with planning and delivering quarterly toolbox training to managers and our people.
- Ensuring your HR knowledge is up to date, and we remain compliant to policies and procedures at all times.
Candidate Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience at HR Advisor level with ideally between 2-3 years’ experience.
- CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Experience of advising managers at all levels on complex employee relations issues.
- Experience of successfully supporting change management projects
- Competent understanding of all areas of employment legislation with reference to Employee Relations.
- Experience in employee engagement or learning and development would be advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good communicator, and ability to work both autonomously and as part of the wider team.
- Be a team player and proactive.
- This role may require some travel to our Birmingham office monthly.
