Location: West Midlands (Birmingham, Coventry and West Bromwich initially)

3 Months - (13-week program, 1 week debrief)

£200 per day PAYE

My high-profile Public Sector Client is looking for ESOL Skills Trainer

to join their Team on an initial contract of 3 months. You will work Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 - 17:00.

As part of this commitment, we are seeking an exceptional ESOL Trainer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of functional skills programmes under the Restart Scheme on behalf of DWP.

Key Role and Daily Tasks:

• Contribute to the development of high-quality materials for ESOL training, maintaining and enhancing the quality of learning experiences.
• Deliver ESOL training from pre-entry level to level 3 through face-to-face, online platforms, and other remote systems.
• Conduct formative diagnostics of learner evidence to track progress towards gaining employment.
• Collaborate with Employment Coaches to prepare personal development plans for learners.
• Ensure timely completion of ESOL training within given timescales.
• Provide Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) in coordination with Employment Coaches.
• Work closely with colleagues to effectively deliver the ESOL skills portfolio.
• Identify opportunities for further training in ESOL and share with learners for advancement.
• Assist in the coordination and marketing of all programmes.
• Maintain strong professional links with personnel involved in the Restart team and across learning.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified to a minimum Level 3 in a subject-specific area (PTLLS, DTLLS, CTLLS, or level 3 Certification within employability).
• Minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent).
• Experience in delivering ESOL, functional skills, or employability programmes.
• Experience in designing and delivering education programmes in the adult education sector.
• Relevant industry experience within the welfare-to-work sector.
• Excellent knowledge of online and face-to-face teaching techniques.
• Ability to motivate unemployed participants throughout their Restart program.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• DBS and BPSS certification required before delivering to learners.

The role involves a combination of workshops, face-to-face, and online delivery, requiring travel across the West Midlands covering Restart offices and our supply chain partners.
