Due to ongoing growth in the Estates and Facilities department an exciting opportunity has arisen to join University College Birmingham as an Estates Compliance Officer. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the team. Based in the heart of Birmingham, you will be joining a growing team looking after the ever-evolving campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the University buildings are compliant with all regulatory and legal requirements, as well as internal policies. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Assistant Maintenance Manager, and MEP Manager to ensure that all compliance inspections are carried out in a timely manner and that remedial actions are taken promptly. The key responsibilities for this role are: Maintain and monitor the maintenance schedule of compliance inspections and follow-up remedials across the estate. Ensure that records are up-to-date in the CDE and CAFM system. Liaise with the Maintenance Manager, Assistant Maintenance Manager, and MEP Manager to ensure that resulting remedial actions are carried out in the required timeframe. Monitor the Helpdesk to ensure contractor attendance and keep appropriate contractor evidence. Update records in the CDE shared folder. Maintain the departmental Risk Register, Estates Policies, and other compliance registers within a CAFM system. Develop, monitor, and review workplace inspections. Assist with the preparation, administration, and monitoring of facilities management. So if this sounds like the role for you, then apply now!!!
