Estates Technical Assistant (Ireland)
Salary: €30,731 - €36,154 (dependent on experience)
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time
Location description: Preferred working locations are within the RNLI Ireland region, however other working locations will be considered as this role will be expected to provide support to several RNLI regions as designated.

In this role within the RNLI Estates Team, you will play an important part in helping to ensure RNLI buildings, particularly our amazing lifeboat stations are managed and looked after. You will provide technical and administration co-ordination, with opportunities to make a difference with your skills, knowledge, and passion - working within a supportive and friendly team.

Your Role
As an Estates Technical Assistant, you will be tasked with focusing on the following areas:
- To assist in the compilation of technical reports, specifications, tender documentation, construction health and safety documentation and making statutory notifications.
- To ensure vendor records are kept up to date including financial details, insurance details and training records.
- To be a point of contact within Estates for resolving minor defects, repairs, and other issues within defined parameters to ensure there is sufficient resilience within the Estates Teams and that all issues are dealt with promptly.
- Conduct initial triage of maintenance requests and work with the CEM’s to administer and report. To support mooring campaigns in each of the Regional Estates Areas.
- Liaise with Estates Team and relevant stakeholders regarding operational and technical matters such as work impacting on Lifesaving Operations and liaising with RNLI media teams to share information on larger projects that will have an impact on the community.
About You
You will have good communication skills, both written and verbal along with an eye for detail. You will be able to prioritise varying workloads and meet the changing demands of day-to-day business requirements. To be considered as the Estates Technical Assistant, you will need:
- A-Level or NVQ 2 Construction in a related discipline
- Experience within a facilities management or multi-disciplinary office environment.
- A good understanding of spoken and written English.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
