The Role
As an experienced Project Manager your primary objective will be to deliver multiple on-going projects, within budget and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
You will be liaising with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers, as well as leading and motivating your project team
Key Responsibilities:
- As an Estimator & Proposals Engineer MEICA, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing tender documents and specifications to understand the scope of work and client requirements
- Preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and technical proposals for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, pipelines and other MEICA related projects
- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and internal departments to obtain quotations, technical information and support
- Evaluating risks and opportunities and proposing solutions to mitigate or enhance them
- Presenting and negotiating the estimates and proposals with the clients and securing the contracts
Person Specification:
- The successful candidate will have extensive experience of managing projects within Civil and Water sectors.
- Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
- Able to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent
- Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, CSCS manager's card, SMSTS
- Excellent communication, people, and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentor
- Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance
