Proposals Engineer

A great opportunity for a graduate or highly qualified mechanical engineer ideally with some Applications or Proposals Engineer experience with a well established SME British manufacturer of product handling solutions supplied mainly to the food industry. Good prospects to move into aa senior engineering role or into a field sales role if successful.
 
BASIC SALARY: up to £38,000

LOCATION: Office based at the companies factory in Stoke, with occasional visits to client sites.
Hybrid working may be an option after 6 to 12 months.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Applications Engineer, Proposals Engineer - Product Handling Solutions
 
A classic Applications Engineer / Proposals Engineer role supporting the field sales team by preparing and providing technical quotations for clients pre sale or order.
 
This will involve developing and implementing a solutions estimation template for use in presentations to clients, assessing specifications and scope to determine fit for purpose solutions and completing applications trials and further product development when required.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Applications Engineer, Proposals Engineer - Product Handling Solutions
 
· You will be a graduate or highly qualified mechanical engineer.
· You will ideally have some experience as a Proposals or Applications Engineer working for a manufacturing company supplying the industrial market.
· Any specific experience of product or materials handling or process plant connectivity solutions would be advantageous.
· You will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer and will be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
· The company will also consider an experienced internal or technical support sales person.

They have invested heavily in a digital sales platform and CRM to facilitate growth.
