Role Overview
Jackson Hogg are assisting a filtration company in the search for a Site Manager in Jarrow. The successful candidate would be working alongside the Technical Director and Principal Engineer. You will be responsible for managing and delivering on-site services to an industrial customer base, focused on filtration processes on customers sites.
Requirements
- Have a proactive attitude, focused on customer service and high standards of Quality, Health, and Safety.
- Ability to travel within the UK, with overnight stays and weekend work as required.
- Have excellent verbal communication skills, adapting to your audience as appropriate.
- Have strong IT skills using Windows 10 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
- Have some experience with using or interpreting CAD, mechanical drawings, process flow diagrams etc.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site / equipment surveys for new and existing clients. Produce drawings, sketches and specifications as required following the survey.
- With support from the engineering team, produce project costings, quotations, and proposals to enable the company to win new business and fulfil existing contracts.
- Manage and grow a network of subcontractors (trades, labourers, equipment hire, consultants etc.), maintain trust, respect, and a positive working relationship.
- Using available resources and subcontractors, plan and profitably complete servicing and projects work in line with customers’ expectations.
- Where required, carry out servicing/maintenance work yourself. Otherwise act as a working supervisor for your subcontract labour.
- Generate as required, planning schedules, RAMS, reporting, documentation etc., ensuring all work is completed in a timely manner and communicated professionally to clients. In some instances, this will be undertaken in conjunction with the technical team.
- Create repeat business and additional servicing work by satisfying the customer and building site relationships at all levels.
- Be responsible for the company’s image and reputation on customer sites, including all subcontractors under your supervision.
- Be responsible for the safety and quality of our work on customer’s sites, including that of subcontractors under your supervision.
- Proactively increase your technical understanding of customer assets and processes.
- Proactively increase your understanding of customer’s legal and commercial constraints to tailor your future advice and proposal.
- Maintain accurate records of all work, costings, proposals, expenses etc. and provide monthly reporting to the Finance Manager and Technical Director
- Assist with the development of a longer-term strategy for on-site services.
- Manage, source, and fulfil all training and certification for yourself and your subcontractors to remain compliant with customer’s requirements.
- Purchase, maintain and manage all tools, PPE, equipment, vehicles etc. as required for each job. Maintain high standards of appearance for the same.

- 23 days holiday + bank holidays will be provided. Holidays require approval by management prior to booking.
