Job Title: Estimator - Residential- Refurb

Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for residential refurbishment projects.
- Vendor and Supplier Relations: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes and ensure the procurement of materials and services aligns with project budget requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and opportunities within project scopes, providing insightful recommendations to enhance project feasibility and cost-effectiveness.
- Budget Development: Collaborate with project managers to develop and refine project budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations and financial constraints.
- Value Engineering: Evaluate alternative materials, methods, and designs to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and present detailed and accurate cost estimates, reports, and documentation to support project proposals and client presentations.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, pricing, and market conditions to provide up-to-date information for decision-making.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as an Estimator in residential refurbishment projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in estimating software and tools; strong understanding of construction processes and materials.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work seamlessly within a project team.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
