With a competitive salary ranging from £32,000 to £38,000, we offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission of achieving a world-leading education for all young people in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computing.
The Role
As an Evaluation Officer, you will play a crucial role in our Impact and Evidence Team, ensuring the continued success of STEM Learning. You will lead evaluations of large-scale education support programmes, distilling your findings into key messages shared across the education sector. Your work will help colleagues and educators learn what works, demonstrate the impact of our programmes to our funders, and ensure the highest quality of our support.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement end-to-end project evaluations
- Implement and develop best practice across research and evaluation
- Collect, collate, analyse and report research findings and evaluation data
- Communicate and disseminate research findings to internal and external audiences
Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with a background in social research or project evaluation, with proven skills in a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods and research designs. You should have experience managing and manipulating large datasets, with good knowledge of mixed methods approaches to research and data analysis. Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills are essential.

The National STEM Learning Centre & Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of resources, on-line and physical networking and communities and partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward on-going development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in teaching STEM subjects to young people.
