In January 2024, we acquired the 17th century Barnsley House hotel that is tucked away in the quintessential Cotswold’s village of Barnsley, just four miles from Cirencester. THE PIG – and The Village Pub offers guests a classic example of an English country garden that evolves with the seasons including a kitchen garden that will supply the produce found on our 25-mile menu.
We are delighted to announce the start of our recruitment for THE PIG – and The Village Pub and are seeking for an Evening Housekeeping to support our turndown service.
The Role:
As an Evening Housekeeper at THE PIG you will be responsible for the in room turn down service which includes emptying rubbish bins, replacing used towels, straightening bed linen, re-stocking room fridges & larders, plus any other preparations to ensure our guests have a peaceful night’s sleep.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Preparing the guests beds and replenishing towels.
- Empty bins and re-stock fridges and larders.
- Ensure the guest bathroom is clean and tidy, mopping floors if required.
- Report any snagging or damage to our Housekeeping Manager and/or Supervisors.
- Handle housekeeping supplies correctly, considering health and safety best practise.
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a housekeeping role is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided. We are seeking for people with a can-do, proactive attitude, thriving from working in a fast-paced and attention to detailed environment.
