At voco Grand Central Hotel and Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel, we have an exciting opening to join our team as an Events Coordinator

We are looking for an Events Coordinatorwho will report to the Cluster Meeting and Events Manager and is available to work 40 hours typically between Monday and Friday (some additional hours may be required at times, all additional hours worked are paid). This is a cluster role giving you the chance to work between our voco Grand Central Hotel and Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel!

You will work closely with and report into our Meeting and Events Manager and establish client requirements to identify how our Hotels’ can facilitate their needs. Through both emails and phone calls, you will respond to Event enquires in-line with company standards in a prompt and courteous manner whilst ensuring that you are maximising Reservations, Sales, Occupancy and Revenue (including upselling relevant Hotel facilities wherever possible).

You will work to accurately input all enquires into Sales and Reservations systems, therefore it is important that you are someone with strong IT skills. We are looking for someone who has had experience building relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders (essential). It would be beneficial if you have worked across different market segments, in particular, Corporate and MICE events. Above all, you will be someone who can work positively in a team to support our team achieve our objectives and budget.

You’ll be called upon to complete a wide variety of tasks and jobs within the hotel and it’s extremely important that you remain flexible and versatile around this. To thrive in this role, the key skills & experience you’ll ideally already have are:

  • Events experience - whether you have previously worked in Hotels or Restaurants or want to progress your career in hospitality, this may be the role for you.
  • High attention to detail and ability to deliver within brand standards.
  • Experience working previously within different market segments, having built relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-versed at working in a fast-paced environment, and motivated to take the next exciting step in your career!
