Working for a stunning independent health club, the Events / Bar Manager will take responsibility for the financial success of the bar and events calendar.
The successful candidate will have a range of duties to include events co-ordination, associated administration, team leadership as well as practical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Events Coordination
- Increasing F&B revenue via events / functions
- Collaborating with marketing to promote events and functions
- Creation and management of the events calendar
- Point of contact for all service aspects related to events and functions
- Overseeing the cleanliness of the bar area, opening/closing check lists, daily/weekly clean schedules. Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
- Managing the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory, and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
- Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service levels
- Increase bar usage and members spend
- Creating effective rotas with the bar supervisor to ensure the bar is well staffed
- Maintain a positive, safe work environment
Qualifications
• NVQ Level 3 Hospitality & Catering (incl: cellar management) or equivalent desirable• Events Coordination/Management experience• People Management• Leadership Training Preferable• Level 3 Food Hygiene preferable
• Excellent organisation skills• Excellent leadership skills• Excellent attention to detail• Excellent paperwork and computer skills
