The Client
Our client are a new opening Privately owned Club, Restaurant and Events Space in Guildford. This is a stunning new concept- 40 cover restaurant, 20 cover outside terrace, 4/5 event spaces and meeting rooms capable of hosting up to 120 people.
The Role
We are looking for a General Manager with an innate sense of hospitality, an exceptional eye for detail, and the ability to create unforgettable experiences for the guests and clients through first class service
delivery.
As the General Manager you will lead all aspects of the operations within the Restaurant and Events business. Significantly this will involve all commercial operations of the business with full P&L responsibility and it is expected that the role will further develop the current offering to maximise
return.
This will include marketing the business through the most effective routes, identifying and building relationships with suppliers, managing staff ratios and making the business as profitable as possible
You will manage a team that includes an Events Manager, Head Chef and Front of house staff. The role reports to the directors of the operating company.
Requirements:
As General Manager you will have:
• Hospitality / F&B management experience.
• A Good understanding of food hygiene, alcohol licensing and health and safety.
• Able to work under pressure meeting deadlines and targets, without close supervision.
• Familiarity with hospitality and Events online systems (advantageous).
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
• Demonstrates a guest-oriented mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a polished personal presentation.
Proven sales acumen and adeptness at multitasking.
• Solution-oriented and proactive approach to challenges.
• Organized, flexible, computer literate, and a dedicated team player.
It is also essential that you are dedicated and passionate about hospitality, loving what you do, looking to inspire and be inspired and enjoy making a guests experience. You need to have
previously held the role of General Manager before in a comparable Restaurant or Events venue. A strong financial understanding will be needed and a clear focus on what you want from your future in
hospitality. Very guest focused and people orientated.
