The Executive Assistant to the Chairman is a support function that is an integral part of the organisation of the day-to-day activities of the Chairman’s life. This is an opportunity to become a part of a vibrant organisation providing discreet, efficient, effective, and professional secretarial, organisational and administrative support to the Chairman, whilst also working closely with the Trustees and support teams of his four foundations. As the key administrative representative for the Chairman, you achieve this by ensuring that day-to-day professional and personal activities are carried out to a high standard, which exceeds expectations.
Duties of the role can include but are not limited to; Diary and travel management, managing expense reports, generalist administrative support to the foundation Trustees and support team, management of office space, assisting with the development, coordination and planning of fundraising events/dinners, responsible for ensuring the office’s financial objectives were met by preparing an annual budget, planning the expenditures, analysing variances, and carrying out any necessary corrections, responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance on the collation and retention of paperwork and record keeping.
Who we are looking for:
The successful candidate with have a minimum of 24 consecutive months of PA or EA experience to a HNW individual. You will consistently deliver a high-end support service, take personal responsibility, and show leadership and professionalism. You will be loyal, diligent, organised, and an energetic professional, with an acute understanding of how to manage a HNW individual. You will also take pride in getting ‘it’ right. You will be computer literate, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You will have the ability to work under pressure and multi–task effectively to manage time and meet deadlines.
Contract details:
This is a temporary position, covering maternity leave until 15 Aug 2025. Approximate start date, late June 2024. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9-5pm - assistance may also be required in evenings and on the weekend. Hybrid working available, with office based working days in London and working from home agreed weekly in advance with the Chairman. The Chairman resides between London and Kent, with an office based in Knightsbridge, Central London. Travel within the UK for business purposes may be required from time to time. You will receive 28 days of annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, pro-rata to start date.

Within this position at The Aspinall Foundation, you will provide a professional, confidential, and effective EA service to Damian Aspinall. Damian is an English businessman and conservationist. He is the Chairman of four wildlife conservation charities around the world. The Aspinall Foundation is a world-class animal conservation charity who are dedicated to protecting endangered animals around the globe. We are devoted to returning captive bred animals to protected wilderness areas and reserves located throughout the world. We also work alongside communities to reforest vulnerable habitats to provide a home for iconic species such as gorillas, rhinos, and cheetahs. Over the past few years alone, we have bred and released hundreds of animals from our partner wildlife parks back to their natural habitats in the wild. In Congo, Gabon, Java, Madagascar and South Africa, we are delivering innovative programmes to release animals “Back to the Wild”, as well as rescuing wildlife from the illegal pet trade and those orphaned from poaching.
This work is only achievable through the generous support and donations we have received. In order to continue this critical work, we need to develop more long-term supporters that can help us make these goals a reality.
