The Saints Federation comprises three wonderful Church of England primary schools set in rural Norfolk and filled with happy children, a hardworking staff team and committed governors. The role of substantive Executive Deputy Headteacher is new to the federation and has come about following the promotion of our Acting Executive Deputy Headteacher to our Executive Headteacher.
We are looking for an aspirational and collaborative leader with high expectations and a desire to continue our drive for further improvement at all levels. To be successful, you will need a good understanding of the dynamics of a small school setting and be adept at ‘spinning plates’ giving a great opportunity to provide strategic support while still retaining some teaching responsibility. You will be respectful of the views of parents and the wider community, recognising the importance of their involvement in the learning process. You will also utilise your excellent interpersonal skills to develop professional relationships with the whole team, motivating them to be the best they can be.
Our federation of schools has decided to join one of Norfolk’s Diocesan Multi-Academy Trusts. You will be closely involved in the transition process, anticipated to happen during the 2024/25 academic year.
There is no fixed blueprint about where you are currently working – you could be a serving Deputy Headteacher looking for a new challenge, or an Assistant Headteacher or KS Lead looking for your first Deputy Headteacher post. What is most important is that you are a true team player, well organised and full of enthusiasm, energy and humour!
In return you will have an opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and trusting environment. As a key member of the SLT you will help develop the vision which will determine the future of our schools.
Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the schools, for a warm welcome, 1:1 tour and an informal discussion about the role with the Acting Executive Deputy Headteacher, Esme Sexton. We are working in partnership with Propelo to recruit to this position.
To have a confidential conversation about the role or to arrange a visit, please contact Propelo on [email protected] or 01273 222 877.
