Executive Head of Environmental Services

Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council are working in partnership to provide better and more sustainable local services. Our ambition is to ensure that we continue to improve, are fiscally efficient and deliver the net-zero carbon strategy both councils have set. We are now seeking two exceptional individuals to complete our Joint Management Team at Executive Head level.

We have a strong sense of responsibility for our environment, championing carbon reduction and protecting the planet. We must maintain and improve the quality of our environment here in Surrey. Environmental Services are the custodian of our open spaces, the service covers waste collection and strategy, fleet, countryside, parks, street scene and bereavement services.

We are seeking an Executive Head to provide overall leadership and management for this important service. The successful applicant will give strategic and policy direction to lead continuous improvement in the service. Identification of collaboration opportunities and efficiency savings is also key.
