Executor Services Team Manager

If so, we are recruiting a Team Manager to work alongside the existing Team Manager in The Executor Services Team.

Executor Services Team Manager

• Appointeeship – Executor Services are the appointee for approximately 600 clients.
• Deputyship – Appointed and monitored by the Court of Protection, Deputy for approximately 200 clients.
• Funerals - Sheffield City Council has a statutory duty to provide public health funerals for people who have passed away and have no next of kin.
• 1-1’s & PDR’s and line management.

We are looking for people with experience in service user facing finance for vulnerable adults and good management skills to join our management team.  Over recent years there has been significant investment in this area of the Council and the growth in staff numbers and workload mean we need additional leadership.

Sheffield City Council and Adult Social Care are always looking for ways to improve how we support people in Sheffield, and this is an opportunity to be actively involved in making improvements to the support we offer people with their finances.

The Social Care Accounts Service (SCAS) - People’s money for Adult Social Care is comprised of the following teams:

• The Customer Accounts Team
• The Executor Services Team
• Social Care Funding Team
• Business Support

SCAS is responsible for: 

• The management of the Fairer Contributions Policy, ensuring that people are consistently being charged fairly based on their income.
• Financial Assessments by The Social Care Funding Team to determine what people can afford to pay towards the cost of their care and support.
• The Customer Accounts Team are responsible for the invoicing, charging and recovery of income from the recipients of care and support.
• Administration of Deferred Payment Arrangements and non-capacity loans.
• Financial Inclusion work including promoting benefit uptake, supporting people with complex debt and financial health checks.
• Acting as Appointees or Deputies, The Executor Services Team manage people’s financial affairs on their behalf where they lack the capacity to do so themselves.
• The Executor Services Team also arrange for a burial or cremation where no suitable alternative arrangements are being made.
