Experienced Joiner/General Builder

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Lilium Homes Ltd is a small building contractor located in Glasgow and surrounding areas, predominantly focused on bespoke new builds, extensions and high-end contemporary refurbishments in traditional buildings. We have a small, very committed team of 7 in-house trades and 3 front-office staff, as well as long established relationships with a number of experienced sub-contractors within the Scottish construction sector. We are looking to expand our team further with a highly motivated General Builder/Joiner with experience in all aspects of house-building.
• This is a full time on site role and your responsibilities will include performing construction and carpentry tasks such as demolition works, temporary works, building kit structures, installing fixtures and fittings, restoration and renovating buildings. You will lead a small team of joiners/labourer and sub-contractors, to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet quality standards. Your responsibilities will include all H&S and RAMS on site for your projects. Thoroughly planning your project alongside our Project Manager in terms of work methods and materials and ensuring all trades and sub-contractor activities are well planned. You will report directly to our Lilium Homes Site Trades Manager.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT FOR THE ROLE:

• Proven experience as a General Builder/Joiner
• Wide knowledge of construction and carpentry techniques
• Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
• Proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Have a wide knowledge of construction and experience working alongside all trades
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Candidates should have good communication and interpersonal skills
• Full driving licence
• Candidates must hold Gold or Black CSCS card

Pay: £40,500.00-£46,000.00 per year
