Wholesale and distributor of general line of groceries based in Ashford are looking for a Fresh Foods Export Account Operator- working in a small team - reporting to Airfreight Manager.
Annual salary: £28,000
Hours: 08:30 - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To be the main contact for export customers and build a working relationship with each.
- Receive orders from overseas customers.
- Coordinate the ordering process to ensure export orders are supplied in full.
- Check inbound delivery notes/invoices against purchase orders for accuracy and liaise with suppliers in the event of shortages/damages.
- Build relationships with suppliers and resolve any issues with supply of particular products.
- Converse with warehouse on shipment details and deadlines for food exports by airfreight (chilled and ambient)
- Book inbound stock and prepare sales invoices in SAP.
- Raise export shipment documentation.
- Use consular service providers to obtain certified/legalised documents required for export.
- Submit APHA & HMI applications for produce shipments.
- Submit export entries to HMRC using ASM Sequoia software.
- Make bookings and maintain contact with freight forwarders.
- Communicate shipment details to customers.
- Authorise purchase invoices for payment.
- Maintain correspondence files for each export customer.
- Complete costings record for each shipment to monitor gross margin and purchase invoice status.
- Ad-hoc tasks as requested by Fresh Foods Manager
The ideal candidate will need to have:
- Known Consignor training or will need to complete an online training course in the early stages of employment.
- 5-year checkable history
- CRB check in order to gain security clearance.

- Discretionary annual company bonus paid at the end of January up to a max of 10%. This is dependant on group results and fluctuates year on year.
