Reception (EYFS) Class Teacher job available in Portsmouth

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Reception Class Teacher to join our school in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a significant impact on the learning and development of primary school students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, creating an engaging learning environment, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages students to achieve their full potential.

This is a full time Class Teacher job starting in September 2024, for a Class Teacher to join their school for the academic year. As a Reception (Early Years) Class Teacher, you will be working in a three form entry school and will have the same PPA to share ideas and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver effective lessons that meet the national curriculum guidelines for EYFS, Year R (Early Years Foundation Stage)
• Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor students' progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with specific educational needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders to support students' overall development.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching Early Years Foundation (Reception).
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative working style.
