Hays Construction has been retained by one of the UK & Ireland’s tier 1 contractors who currently require a Façade Foreperson to join this multi-award-winning employer of choice.
This client has delivered landmark projects across a variety of sectors throughout their 50-year-years in the industry. With the huge growth and demand in the market this year, the company plan to deliver a wide range of projects to expand and build on their already prestigious project portfolio.
With impressive builds across a variety of sectors including commercial, residential & hospitality, this firm now requires a Façade Foreperson to join a new site beginning at the start of 2024 that will see you working in a major UK city, constructing a large-scale residential complex. This will be a challenging yet highly rewarding project and will see you based on site with progression available within the business.
Your new role
Due to continued bid success, this company is currently undertaking new projects. With a new high-rise apartment complex due to start in 2024, as Façade Foreperson you will have a number of responsibilities not limited to:
- Responsible for the day to day managing of the façade / envelope package
- Maintain a constant drive to achieve production outputs in order to meet targets while maintaining quality standards
- Help manage the project in line with the agreed production targets
- Manage the workflow of sub-contractors, ensuring their in line with the programme of works on site.
- Agree with sub-contractors’ long-term and short-term programmes and monitor performance.
- Implement Health & Safety procedures.
- Contribute to the delivery of the project on time and within budget.
- Produce accurate, consistent and professional records, reports and general information
- Complete associated external facade works in accordance with the program
- Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality and safety standards.
This role will see you cover a rounded set of objectives while working closely with the management team and having the full use of Site Engineering and Commercial Teams.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience overseeing Façade packages, preferably on larger scale projects while also managing subcontractors. You will have previous experience of carrying out works at these levels, as well as possessing relevant tickets (e.g. SMSTS / SSSTS / CSCS / NVQ). You will be a self-starter with excellent leadership skills and technical ability, possessing a keen eye for detail whilst upholding high standards throughout the programme of works. This client will be open to candidates coming from traditional trades or engineering backgrounds.
With key projects across the UK & Ireland, you must have a flexible attitude to travel.
