Post Title: Assistant Foreperson
Location: Alness
Hours: 37 Hours Per Week
Duration: Permanent
Salary: £27,840 - £30,610 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

JobPurpose:
- Assist the Foreperson in managing operatives and resources in the delivery of
front line Roads and Winter Maintenance services. - Operation of road marking plant and associated duties as directed.
- Road and winter maintenance duties as directed.
- Driving and operating various LGV road and winter maintenance vehicles including snow ploughs / gritting vehicles.
- Operation of various road maintenance related plant and machinery.
- Work on a Highland wide basis (including overnight stays) with the potential to
work in other Local Authority Areas.

Requirements
- Driving Licence for LGV, Category C and C + E - If you’re successful in your application for the role and do not currently hold a LGV licence, retraining will involve training and a test for class two (light vehicles).
- Proven leadership experience.
- Experience or knowledge of road marking work.
- Experience and knowledge of road and winter maintenance work
