Position: Face-to-Face Customer Contact Advisor
Location: North East Local Office, 101 Niddrie Mains Road, Edinburgh
Start Date: ASAP
28 Hours per week
Hours of work: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 08:45 – 16:15, Friday 08:30-16:00.
Non working day Wednesday
Hourly Rate: £12.81
You will be required to apply for a Basic Disclosure which will cost you £25.
Role Information:
The Customer Contact team is the first point of contact for customers who require assistance from their local council and the role involves providing and collecting information related to various Customer Contacts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a welcoming environment to customers visiting their local office
- Checking customers in for appointments and issuing tickets using our queuing system
- Managing queues, waiting areas and directing customers to the relevant services
- Provide advice, assistance and referring customers to council services where appropriate.
- Process service requests and manage customer information accurately.
- Collaborate with colleagues and wider teams to ensure effective service delivery.
- Ensure customers are handled with efficiency and focus on customer service satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant information and policies to provide accurate assistance.

- Previous customer service experience preferred
