At Kirklees we want to be innovative and creative in the way we work to deliver our services to our communities. Working as a manager within the Facilities Team you will be responsible for supporting both Schools and Corporate Teams including key project management across the service to ensure that the Corporate/Schools and PPP Teams deliver key services aligning with the Councils new budgetary challenges.
Working alongside other managers in the Service you will take responsibility for matters relating to either the Corporate Facilities or Schools Asset Management functions.
Main Duties will include:
- Provide line management support directly or in a matrix arrangement, ensuring a positive working environment and the development of the team.
- Assist in financial monitoring for a complex revenue budget.
- Oversight and development of the traded services and contracts
- To provide project management and programme oversight, ensuring effective stakeholder management and budgetary control to tight deadlines.
- Provide complex management reports as required.
- Responding to complex enquiries, including Councillor/MP enquiries and FOI requests.
A good team manager, with experience and/or knowledge of FM, contracts and budget monitoring is key but not essential
Kirklees is a mixture of rural and urban conurbations. You will be expected to travel and therefore having a full and valid driving licence is highly desirable.
