Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am – 3:00 pm
Are you a proactive Facilities Manager with a hands-on approach and experience in manufacturing, particularly with CNC machinery? Do you excel in resolving a diverse range of facility-related issues, from blocked toilets to managing new installations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client as a Facilities Manager, overseeing the maintenance and operations of their office and manufacturing facility.
About the Role:
As the Facilities Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site and handle everything from reactive repairs to coordinating incoming services. Your role will encompass a wide range of tasks so a flexible and organsied approach is needed to keep all the plates spinning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all reactive machinery, facility, and software repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop, offices, and surrounding grounds.
- Coordinate facility management tasks, including maintenance of equipment, machinery, gas, water, electricity, heating, and security systems.
- Oversee annual facility supplier contracts, negotiating best prices and terms to optimise cost efficiency.
- Liaise with IT support teams
- Implement and maintain planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Manage contracted cleaners and in-house cleaning programs, ensuring waste disposal and cleanliness standards are met.
- Perform periodic fire alarm tests and fire drills
- Support the Head of Operations in implementing and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and RAMS.
- Manage keyholder register and act as the first point of contact for building security.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Proactive attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly in emergency situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
