Facilities technician
Due to expansion and growth, a permanent position has arisen for a Facilities technician within our clients Engineering / Maintenance Department. Please note that the main base for this role will be in Livingston.
This is an entry level position with full training & support offered throughout. The ideal candidate must be 18th edition certified
This is a day shift position – Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm & 7am – 12pm on Friday (39 hrs week) – Full time, Permanent.
The main duties of the post include:
- Troubleshooting, analysing, installing, modifying and repairing machines
- Responsible for keeping accurate, up-to-date records on all equipment
- Identify critical spare parts, manage & maintain spares stock
- Manage continuous improvements and apply route cause analysis
- Responsible for keeping accurate record on all facilities equipment
- Review machine downtime to incorporate improvements and upgrades
- Tendering maintenance contracts and assessing quotations
- Managing and approving risk assessments and method statements
- Writing PTW and ensuring contractors are compliant at all times
- Supporting repairs of catering equipment
Key skills, knowledge and experience required;
- HNC in Electrical/ Mechanical discipline, or willing to work towards it
- Experience in facilities maintenance
- Experience in PTW and reviewing risk assessments
- Experience in contractor management
