We are desperately seeking a full-time Factory Managerto join our busy client – a small, fast growing business looking for support to achieve their vision.

The Package

• Full time – £55k – £60k per year (DOE)
• Hours: 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday (40 hrs per week, including breaks)
• On-site role
• Location: Situated between Bristol & Bath

Probation & Notice: 6 months’ probation period & 12 weeks’ notice

The Role

We are seeking a Factory Manager to join our busy client. The Factory Manager will be responsible for organising and overseeing the manufacturing of products, as well as for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.

Principal Responsibilities(including but not limited to):

• Fully responsible and accountable for operations at Bakery & Warehouse.
• Overseeing daily activities.
• Production management – including production planning.
• Ensuring production capacity is maximised at all times.
• E-commerce fulfilment management.
• Full compliance management – H&S, Food Safety, up to date documentation, training material and maintenance management.
• People Management – Managing a mid-sized team across various different functions.
• Project management and working with the Marketing team to successfully launch new products.
• HR Duties – On boarding & contracts, payroll submission, absence/sickness.
• Production – technical and quality control and compliance, labour control, production planning and scheduling.
• Weekly reporting and ensuring company KPIs are met.
• Providing strong leadership.

Skills & Attributes

• Managerial experience is essential.
• Food Production experience is essential. Bakery experience is preferred.
• A relevant manufacturing background, ideally with experience in small batch production.
• Exceptional financial acumen.
• Hands-on attitude.
• Strong knowledge and extensive experience of legislation relating to food safety.
• Flexible and stress resistant personality.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise heavy work load and remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.
