This role is within the Institute of Professional and Workbased Learning and will be part of the Operations team. The Institute came into operation in September 2023 and its purpose is to support the work of the University beyond the traditional entry routes and incudes Degree Apprenticeships and Continuing Professional Development. This role will provide management and support at a Faculty level to deliver a high quality, University, Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted compliant portfolio of apprenticeship programmes. The role holder will report to the Head of Operations and work alongside the Faculty Director for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships (FDHDA), Programme Directors and managers in schools/departments within the Faculty, the Academic Director for the Institute for Professional and Workbased Learning, colleagues from Compliance and Engagement and colleagues from the Educational Excellence Team. The role holder will become adept in using Aptem, the University’s apprenticeship management software, and be accountable for programme and learner level data on behalf of the Faculty. They will be the go-to person in Faculty for expert advice, guidance and reporting on non-academic related matters concerning apprenticeships. The current expectation is for staff to be on campus for up to 60% of their working week. This is a full-time (36.25 hours), fixed-term post until 31st January 2025. Arrangements for job share may be considered.
