Salary: £37,336 - £39,186 Closing date: 15 February 2024 Interview: 23 February 2024 in Gloucester Location: Flexible. An office base in one of the offices within the Adoption West region (Bristol, Gloucester or Trowbridge) Adoption West is a regional adoption agency and registered voluntary adoption agency that provides adoption services for Bath & Northeast Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Councils. Adoption West operates out of 3 hubs across the region, with offices based in Bristol, Gloucester and Trowbridge. Social Workers can be based anywhere in the Region. We are currently looking to recruit a Social Worker working 37h per week for the Regional Family Finding Team, covering the whole region and linked to their nearest office. The role will be finding families for children with plans of Adoption or Early Permanence. To be considered for the interview you will need:A Social Work Qualification (degree or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England. Experience of working as a Social Worker with families and children. An understanding of early life experiences such as trauma or abuse and the impact they can have on children and young people throughout their lives. The ability to analyse complex information to make recommendations and informed decisions. The ability to work as part of a team, sharing knowledge and managing cases. The ability to use your own initiative and work independently. Be organised, proactive and comfortable liaising with professional from many different organisations and sectors. Experience of managing your own caseload and working to tight deadlines. You will need to be able to travel around the region and on occasions outside of the region and so must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
