SalarySue Ross Legal are recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join a growing Family Law team in Barsnley. Our Client is a leading law firm based in Barnsley with a long established reputation and extensive specialist expertise in the areas of Family Law (including care proceedings and proceedings involving Social Services), Property, Commercial, Wills, Trusts & Future Planning, Personal Injury, Employment and Dispute Resolution.
Key duties will include:
- Providing support to Fee Earners within the Family department, assisting with matters including Divorce, Domestic Violence, Financial settlements, Trusts, and Separation Agreements.
- Audio and copy typing general correspondence, reports and legal documents
- Diary management
- Organising meetings and appointments
- Maintaining filing systems
- Answering and screening incoming telephone calls
- Dealing with client queries
- Assisting with the eligibility of clients for legal aid
- Setting up new client files
To be considered for this role, you will need to have Secretarial experience, ideally with a knowledge of family or child care law. You must have excellent typing speeds and have strong communication skills.
