There are 5 offices in London, Birmingham, Devon, Bristol and Gloucester.Reporting LineThis role reports to the CEOJob PurposeSolicitor in the Matrimonial and Family DepartmentKey Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe following tasks provide a general overview of the types of activity, the candidate will be expected to engage in or oversee on a day-to-day basis. The tasks are not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities as all employees are required to be flexible, dynamic and have the capacity to think creatively when presented with challenges.• To carry out and be responsible for day-to-day conduct of matrimonial and family work and related work files.• Any necessary advocacy and other Court attendances including attendances at conferences with Counsel.• Day to day supervision of others that may be working immediately for you.• To assist senior members of the Department/unit with substantial case files and to exhibit flexibility, particularly in times of holiday/sickness.• To apply proper professional standards.
